Washington National Pick Up Hunter Strickland and Elias From the Mariners

The Mariners made two trades today with less than an hour remaining in the trading deadline. Hunter Strickland expected to be the Mariners closer this year, however, was on the injured list until last week was traded to the Washington Nationals for a Double-A reliever. Jerry Dipoto traded Roenis Elias to the Nationals as well. They picked up two more relievers as well.

The Nationals feel to make the playoffs they need bullpen help.
The Mariners will have to bring up a couple of relievers to take over the spots of Strickland and Elias. They could promote a starter, and move LeBlanc or Milone to the bullpen.

We will have to see whether Mike Leake and or Domingo Leake will go as well. Stay tuned.
